2nd Update

Hey, time for another update now that we're 8 weeks into the season.  I'll try to be as thorough as possible.

COLLEGE PREDICTIONS

8 weeks in and another one bites the dust.  USC got a big time spanking from Notre Dame this weekend, which will end their CFP hopes.

Everyone but Gary had them in the CFP, adding to FSU who most people had as well.  Nobody has all of their 4 teams left in the mix, but some are better off then others.  Everyone has Alabama, so that's a wash acros the board.

Me, Shawn, Joe, Munez, Hale, and Gary still have 3 teams left in the running, while Jim was hit the hardest, with Michigan, USC, and Florida State already out.

For those with 3 teams left, most of them are a loss away from being elimated, whether it's Oklahoma, OK State, or Ohio State.  Other than Alabama, my Wisconsin pick and Rob's Penn state pick are the only two undefeated teams left in the mix, other than Alabama.

CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIPS

The easiest way to do this is to speak of who is eliminated already as opposed to who is still in it.

ACC - Florida State is done, making John's Miami pick the only one left.

PAC-12 & SEC Everyone had alabama and usc so it's irrelevant

Big 10 - Jim's Michigan pick is likely done.  Everyone else's Penn st, Wisconsin, and Ohio st picks are still in the mix.

Big 12 - Munez's Texas pick seems a year early and is done.

Sunbelt- Everyone took Applachian state who is undefeated, except Munez and Eplinw ho took troy and are 2-1.

American, MAC,  - everyone's picks are still relevant

MWC - SDSU has lost 2 games in conference, and Fresno is 4-0 in conference play, including a win over San Diego st.  So it's looking more like Colin, Hale, and Gary's pick is done for.

Conference USA- Lousiana Tech was picked by 5 people, and they sit at 1-2 in conference right now.  They are a game behind 2 teams, and tied with many.  One more loss has them done...Also John's horrendous Old Dominion pick is done for.

As far as our Top 10 pick to fall out of the top 25 goes.  John's pick of Michigan is the only one looking good right now.

Team finishing highest in top 25 is close too.

Relevant picks

#4 TCU - me and folden
#10 Notre Dame - shawn
#15 NC state - Joe

The other picks of Nebraska, Boise St, UCLA, northwestern, minnesota, Texas, and Oregon are all looking like they won't happen.

College Awards.

According to ESPN's Hesiman watch it's pretty much a 3 person race at the moment between Barkley from Penn St, Bryce love from Stanford, and Baker Mayfield of Oklahoma.  Mason Rudolph is in the mix at 4th.

Assuming that's correct, that leaves Me with Barkley, shawn and rob with Mason Rudolph, and Joe, Folden, and Colin with Mayfield still in the mix.

I don't have the slightest fucking clue about the rest of the awards.

SURVIVOR POOL

Since the week 4 update Survivor Pool has been a BLOOD BATH.

After 4 weeks we had 4 strikes total.

Week 5 offered 8 strieks and eliminated Colin and Eplin.

Week 6 was even worse, eliminating Me, Hale, Munez, Rob, and Shawn.

This leaves after week 7 with Gary as the only team without a strike.  Amazing considering he only made it 6 weeks in the two years previous combined.

Still alive with 1 strike are John, Joe, Jim and Folden.

The top 4 finishers all earn points, so we're on the cutoff now.

PRO PICK'EM

Pro Pick'em is tied between Rob, Jim, and John at 64 each.  Last place is Colin with 55.  Still tons of time for people to make up ground.

COLLEGE PICK'EM

College Pick'em is still pretty tight (except for Hale), with 6 weeks to go.

Joe has jumped into the lead and has 94 correct.  Munez sits one back, Jim is 3 back.

After that the rest of us (except for Hale) sit between 6 and 12 back.

That still leaves everyone (except for Hale) in the mix.  However, for those more than 10 back there needs to be some moves made in the next couple of weeks.

Hale is 27 back.

Bonus Points

Pick'em

Week 1 adam, john, eplin (5 point)
 Week 2 John
 Week 3 Jim
 Week 4 Munez & Gary
 Week 5 Joe
 Week 6 Jim
 Week 7 Jim
 Week 8 Eplin

5 point fantasy bonus

Week 1 munez
Week 2 Munez
Week 3 Adam
week 4 Hale
Week 5 Adam
Week 6 Hale
Week 7 Eplin

This is how the bonus points have gone so far this year.  The people who survive next week in Survivor Pool will get a 5 point bonus as well.

Pro Predictions

Things are getting more desperate in the Pro Predictions.  The individual awards are already a shit show and Aaron Roodgers breaking his collarbone has knocked him out of MVP consideration, which fucked 5 people.

This also screws a lot of people in the playoff predictions.  Everyone except Eplim had Green bay winning their division, Rob and I have them winning the Superbowl.  Jim Joe, Munez, Colin and Hale have them losing the Superbowl.

Shawn, Folden, John have them losing the NFC Championship.

The Falcons, Bucs, Cowboys, Giants and Raiders have all been taken at least to Conference championship games all sit at .500 or worse.

Joe's pick of the NYG to win their divison and lose in the NFC Championship game has been obliterated.

In short, there are a lot of shitty picks in the NFL this year.

As far aas our bottom 3 picks go this year.  It's looking more and more like the Jaguars aren't going to be down there this year.  And the couple of people who took the Rams (like me) look foolish.  The Jets are about a win or two away from being out of that situation too.

FANTASY FOOTBALL

Looks like Rob is probably going to be in the playoffs.  He's 6-1 and has a pretty big lead on the most points scored in the league.  He's 3 up on 7th place in the playoffs.

After that Folden and Hale sit at 5-2

Eplin, Jim, and Joe are at 4-3.  Thats the cutoff right at the moment.

After that we have Colin, Me, Gary, at 3-4.  Shawn and John at 2-5.  Munez at 1-6.  Honestly, munez is going to need to probably win out from here to make the playoffs, being 3 back from all of these people.

1st Update

Hey, it's been pretty crazy busy for me the past month, so I haven't had a lot of time to update.  First thing's first.  I want to update who all owes dues

DUES

John $60
Colin $60
Munez $60
Gary $50
Jim $10
Folden $10

Download Venmo app and send that as soon as you can.

PICK'EMS

So far the pick'ems are pretty tight.

Eplin has a 1 point lead over john and hale, and a 2 point lead over folden and rob.  The furthest person back is 7 back, which is me.

Munez is leading the college pick'em at 64 with Joe 2 back and Gary 3 back. Hale is already 17 back.

The bonus's have gone like this so far.

Week 1 Adam, John, Eplin (5 pts college only):
Week 2 John
Week 3 Jim
Week 4 Munez & Gary
Week 5 Joe

SURVIVOR

4 weeks in and noone is eliminated, which means everyone earned the first bonus of 5 points.  That being said, I'm not going to bother factoring it into the score, because it's a non issue.

That being said, 4 people have a strike already.

Folden and Munez for trusting Cutlerfucker in week 3, when the dolphins lost to the Jets.
Eplin for trusting the Jags against the Jets.
Colin for spotting all of us a strike and not making a week 1 pick.

Which fool is going to go against the Jets this week?

FANTASY

5 weeks in and we have a five way tie at 3-1 between Eplin, Hale, Rob, Folden, and Joe.

Shawn and Gary both at 2-2

Me, Jim, Colin at 1-3

Munez at 0-4.

Week 5 schedule

1-3 Colin vs 3-1 Hale
2-2 Shawn vs 1-3 Jim
0-4 Munez vs 2-2 Gary
1-3 Adam vs 3-1 Rob
3-1 Folden vs 2-2 John

Game of the Week
3-1 Joe vs 3-1 Eplin

Remember 15 pts go for each fantasy win and 5 pts to the highest scoring team that loses this year.

This bonus has gone as such in the first 4 weeks.

1. Munez
2. Munez
3. Adam
4. Hale

PREDICTIONS

A few people have had the dreaded Red highlight of doom already.

In the pros, Jim's pick of Adrian Peterson to win the comeback player of the year, and the rushing title look long lost.

Jim, Voyten, and Munez's pick of Dalvin Cook to win are dashed now that he's torn his ACL

My pick of Hue Jackson & Hale's of Ben Mcadoo to win the coach of the year are a combined 0-8.

John's pick of Deshone Kizer has been brutally bad for OROY, and Folden's pick of Corey Davis can't get on the field.

7 of us took Myles Garrett who finally appears ready to step on the field, so it's an uphill battle there.

Voyten's pick of Eric Berry to lead the league in Interceptions is out with a torn achilles, and his pick of David Carr might miss 6 weeks.

Add in Folden, Joe, Rob, and Eplin's David Johnson choice to win the rushing title, while he's out for the year.

Basically, this is the most fucked our individual awards have been this early in a long time.

Other than that,  there are a couple of people who took the Chargers and the Giants to win their divisions, and there's Joe who took both of them.  So, things are looking a little hairy so far for a lot of us.

College Predictions

This isn't quite as fucked, but a big change already in college.  Florida State is effectively done in the Final Four, and is one loss away from being done in the conference too.

Realistically, the conference schedule has just gotten going, and most conferences back load their good games, so Jack shit will be known about this for a bit still.
